Tierney R. Gordon, founder of Art and Parties by TRG, is a Bethesda, Maryland–based abstract artist inspired by the coastal hues and breezy spirit of the American South. A graduate of Ole Miss, she draws inspiration from time spent in Oxford, Mississippi, as well as Charleston, South Carolina and Palm Beach, Florida—places that continue to influence her color palette, textures, and relaxed approach to composition. Through her work, Tierney paints a sense of place: art that evokes warmth, movement, and the feeling of well-lived, welcoming interiors.

Her love of painting began after years of admiring her grandmother’s carefully collected art—pieces chosen not for trend, but for the way they made a home feel. That influence sparked a desire to create original artwork that is both accessible and inviting, designed to live easily within a space and become part of its story.

In addition to her studio practice, Tierney has a background in event design, having worked on large-scale celebrations for clients including The Phillips Collection, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Google, and Comcast NBCUniversal. Today, she blends both passions—offering bespoke artwork and thoughtfully curated gatherings through Art and Parties by TRG, all rooted in beauty, feeling, and place.
